    Carbonplace.com — Marketing Website

Designed, built, and maintained solo: Next.js, Sanity, and Vercel.

    Overview

Carbonplace.com is the public face of Carbonplace, the carbon credit trading platform I helped build. It's the site prospective clients, partners, and the market see first, so it needed to load fast, look sharp, and let the non-engineering team update copy, pages, and announcements on their own, without filing a ticket every time messaging changed.

    My Role & Approach

I built the site with Next.js and Sanity as a headless CMS, so the team can edit content directly without touching code or waiting on engineering. Content updates flow through Sanity's Live Content API, which pushes changes to the live site in real time rather than requiring a full rebuild and redeploy. The whole thing is deployed on Vercel, and I designed, built, and have maintained it solo from day one, alongside my day-to-day engineering leadership role at Carbonplace.

    Outcome

A live Google PageSpeed Insights run scores the site 98/100 for Desktop performance, a near-perfect Lighthouse result for a real-world marketing site. It's also been running solo end to end since launch: one person owning design, build, and ongoing maintenance.
